To
whom it may concern,
Just
felt it necessary to share with the people making decisions on where events
should be held.
We
attended the LL qualifier this past weekend in Tigerton, WI (Fantasy moto).
We had never heard of this track nor had anyone we spoke to. Our son has
enjoyed traveling around more in the past couple of years and has the chance
to ride at many tracks in GA, TX, OK, WI, MI, MN, IA, AL and FL, some national
runs and some local races. But for the LL qualifiers we've run OK, MI,
IA and MN.
We
were not sure what to expect when pulling in and especially when the gate
keeper shared that this was only their fourth MX race and first LL.
However, he was more then accommodating explaining where to find anyone if we
had questions or concerns. If you could imagine how we wondered how the
weekend would turn out, as qualifiers always seem to be such a challenge to
most tracks (in organization), with the amount of riders to sign up and rigs
to accommodate and races to run.
We
really could not say enough about how well this level of race was run by the
track personal.
1.)
Able to accommodate all rigs, organized so if you had to leave you were able.
(we've been at tracks where they just start cramming them in and in an
emergency you can not get out!)
2.)
Sign up! This is a big one, in almost all tracks we've attended signup
can take anywhere from 20-90 minutes long! Our son ran 4 races,
neither time (each day) I went to sign up did it take more then 10 minutes to
get through the line. Very automated, very organized, very quick.
3.)
Family oriented! Even though most people feel they are there just
to race, we as many families have other children that may not be as involved
in the sport as much. We have found a few tracks where they
really try to accommodate the siblings of racers, giving them plenty to do. This past
weekend, the area and set-up of Fantasy was very accommodating to
families, trails upon trails for bikes, ATV, pit bikes. Playground
for the young ones, river to relax....just an all around family atmosphere
which was so very enjoyable.
4.)
Racing - organization. Wow...very impressive. Like clockwork...476
riders, all the LL classes plus Northern Cup classes to run and we were out of
there by 5pm (being 2nd to last race)! When I clocked our next race -
they were always within 5 minutes...that's organized. AND IT RAINED
most of Saturday!
5.)
Track itself....I can only speak for my son here he really enjoyed the track
(rides "A"). it is a real nice mix soil wise and a great mix
of fast and technical. They groomed when necessary...and were prepared
for the weather.
6.)
Last but not least, great staff. We as families of riders do
appreciate how hard the tracks work for these events. But we also
know we pay a good penny to be there and travel many hours to attend
these events. When we have questions or concerns it is rare to find a
staff that really really wants to make sure you feel your being
treated fairly, and your questions are answered.
I
would have to say being their first major event and only a few times
accommodating the MX side of racing...they were exceptional. We and
several other families would definitely return.
Just
wanted to share what a great location you picked for one of the qualifiers!
